Role Overview

  • Fitch Ratings is seeking a Credit Analyst – EMEA Insurance Director based in Dubai.
  • The role focuses on credit ratings for insurance entities, primarily in the Middle East, with flexibility to cover Turkiye, Africa and CIS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor a growing portfolio of issuer ratings, including preparation of rating committee documentation.
  • Write and publish comprehensive rating reports on individual issuers.
  • Participation in credit rating committees for insurers.
  • Regular interaction with contacts at issuers and liaison with issuers’ senior management.
  • Active involvement in publication of issuer and sector specific research and commentaries.
  • Overseeing the work of more junior colleagues.
  • Responding to external queries from investors, bankers and other stakeholders.
  • Presenting Fitch’s rating criteria and rating approach to prospective issuers.

Candidate Requirements

  • Extensive analytical experience (over 5 years) in credit or audit related fields.
  • Good educational background to at least a first university degree level, preferably with actuarial, accounting or auditing qualifications.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning capacities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a good team player.
  • Strong command of insurance financial statement analysis, accounting standards and solvency requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel.
