Role Overview

  • Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to join as Director Group Accounting. In this executive role, you will oversee the group accounting function and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial reporting framework and accounting policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the group accounting team to prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective coordination with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and compliance reviews.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations, assessing their impact and driving necessary changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the group accounting function to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Mentor and develop accounting professionals within the group, fostering a high performance culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in group accounting, with significant leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, financial consolidation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage complex financial reporting in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
