Audi of America is seeking a strategic business analyst to join the Digital Sales team, playing a crucial part in shaping digital business initiatives. This is a highly visible role, in which you will work closely with the Analytics and Product Management teams to analyze customer purchase trends, generate monthly business reporting, and derive actionable insights for business case development. This role is integral to a high-performing team within a fast-paced, lean organization, where your strategic insights will directly influence Audi of America’s digital product business strategy.
Possible Tasks within this Role
Digital Prod Sales: 40%
Responsible for the development and delivery of the monthly Digital Sales KPI reporting, highlighting key insights.
Maintains the monthly P&L for the Digital Products business.
Responsible for the delivery of annual business planning objectives.
Supports the Digital Sales team by developing robust business cases that align with the overall digital product strategy.
Responsible for deriving actionable insights that inform the team’s business decisions.
Contributes to the formulation of strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth and enhance customer engagement.
eCommerce Performance and Consumer behavior: 40%
Responsible for the development and delivery marketplace performance reporting.
Works across business units to derive customer insights to drive revenue growth for all digital product lines.
Conducts in-depth analyses of customer purchasing behaviors to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
Supports the Online Buying with performance reporting, analytics, and customer insights.
Energy Monetization: 15%
Supports the Digital Sales team with business case development for all energy monetization initiatives.
Supports the Product Management and Digital Dales teams with charging monetization business cases to drive revenue growth in a new area of the business.
Other: 5%
Participate in the Audi of America Data Science community.
Stay current on developments in data science, analytics, and business intelligence technologies and tools.
Support other initiatives, as required.
Qualification requirements
7+ years experience
Education
Required
Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration
Desired
Degree focus in Data & Analytics
Masters Degree
Skills
7+ years experience in business management or intelligence role, ideally in the automotive, digital, or energy space.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal competencies, and presentation skills.
Professionalism in dealing with all levels of management and staff.
Experience working across multiple locations and cross-culturally.
Entrepreneurial thinking and ability to work with a varying level of ambiguity and uncertainty.
Problem solving using logic, data, and reason.
Demonstrated capabilities in writing and presentation skills.
Experience with market research and data analysis.
Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation, and written.
Specialized Skills
Business Analyst experience in Sales or Development
Business acumen and financial P&L understanding
Customer service focused
SQL and database skills
Tableau development experience
Multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple deadlines
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Self-starter and motivated to be successful
Background in automotive high-tech services industry and/or technology-oriented services industry experience
Knowledge of standard automotive industry business processes
Python/R Skills
German language skills a plus
Predictive modelling knowledge (regression, ML)
Data transformation software experience (Alteryx, Tableau Prep, etc.)
Work Flexibility
Based in Reston, VA or Auburn Hills, MI full-time with flexible hours, as required
Travel approx.10%, as required
