- Update and maintain website content and digital platform materials in coordination with internal stakeholders
- Upload, format, and publish text, images, and other approved content through the content management system
- Support the creation and editing of web and social media content, including captions, short copy, and basic digital storytelling assets
- Assist with basic graphic and multimedia updates for websites and digital channels while following brand guidelines
- Monitor website functionality and help troubleshoot routine content, formatting, and user experience issues
- Support regular CMS updates, content reviews, and routine quality checks to help maintain site accuracy and consistency
- Assist with basic SEO, accessibility, and analytics tasks, and help prepare simple performance reports when needed
- Work collaboratively with content, communications, design, and technical teams to support digital projects and campaigns
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Digital Media, Communications, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Some professional experience supporting websites, digital content management, or related communications platforms
- Working knowledge of content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal
- Basic proficiency in HTML and CSS
- Ability to create and edit basic digital content and visual assets using common design tools
- Familiarity with web accessibility, SEO, and digital analytics concepts
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and written communication skills

Overview
- Northwestern University in Qatar (NU Q) seeks a detail oriented and collaborative Digital Platforms Specialist to support the day to day management of the institution’s digital presence.
- The successful candidate will assist with maintaining and updating NU Q’s websites and related digital platforms, help publish content, support basic visual and multimedia needs, and contribute to digital storytelling initiatives in coordination with internal stakeholders.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Update and maintain website content and digital platform materials in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Upload, format, and publish text, images, and other approved content through the content management system.
- Support the creation and editing of web and social media content, including captions, short copy, and basic digital storytelling assets.
- Assist with basic graphic and multimedia updates for websites and digital channels while following brand guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Digital Media, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
- Some professional experience supporting websites, digital content management, or related communications platforms.
- Working knowledge of content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, or similar platforms.
- Basic proficiency in HTML and CSS; familiarity with JavaScript is helpful.
- Ability to create and edit basic digital content and visual assets using common design tools.
- Familiarity with web accessibility, SEO, and digital analytics concepts.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow established processes, and work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
Salary
- The target budgeted salary for this position is $65,120 to $83,950 annually.
