We are looking for engineering students to join the Digital Industries Automation Internship Program - Application Engineering Track . This position will be based at one of our DI Automation hubs, including but not limited to Alpharetta, GA; Elk Grove Village, IL; Harleysville, PA; and Lebanon, OH.
This 12-week summer internship (May 17 – August 6, 2027) is designed to introduce you to Siemens industrial automation controls and embedded systems and help you develop technical proficiency, product knowledge, cross-collaboration, customer consulting, and problem-solving skills. This internship will prepare you for a potential opportunity with our full-time 18-month Automation Genesis development program after graduation.
Collaborating with experienced application engineers to on designing, testing, and feasibility analysis of industries automation solutions and technologies, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs) and digital drivetrain, computer numerical controls (CNCs), and industrial networking and cybersecurity
Learning about modern discrete manufacturing challenges and how the latest factory automation, motion control, and simulation technologies help customers improve productivity, quality, flexibility, and operational efficiency
Contributing to projects such as:
