Responsibilities
- Dispense medications as prescribed by doctors and other medical professionals
- Review prescriptions to ensure accuracy and evaluate suitability for the patient
- Provide information and advice about drugs, side effects, dosage, and storage
- Provide other health advice such as guidance on stopping smoking
- Keep records such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, and inventories
- Plan, implement, and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals
- Assess identity, strength, or purity of medications
- Order and purchase pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies, or drugs
- Maintain stock and handle it properly
- Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and prevent excessive usage
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
- Valid DHA license to practice as a pharmacist
- Proven experience as a pharmacist
- Detailed understanding of dosage requirements, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy software (MEDITECH, Mediware)
- Great organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Overview
- The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to customers on medication usage and dosage, monitoring condition and progress, ensuring safe storage and distribution, and analyzing inventory levels.
Typical Duties
- Dispensing medications as prescribed by doctors.
- Reviewing prescriptions to ensure accuracy and suitability.
- Providing information and advice about drugs, side effects, dosage, and storage.
- Providing other health advice such as guidance on stopping smoking.
- Keeping records such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, and inventories.
- Planning, implementing, and maintaining procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
- Assessing the identity, strength, or purity of medications.
- Working with other healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, review, or evaluate drug quality.
- Ordering and purchasing pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies, or drugs.
- Maintaining stock and storing and handling it properly.
- Analyzing prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance.
- Advising patients on medication brands, medical equipment, or healthcare supplies.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
- Proven experience as a pharmacist.
- Valid license to practice as a pharmacist.
- Detailed understanding of dosage requirements, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy software (MEDITECH, Mediware).

Compensation
- Pay: AED3,000.00 AED3,500.00 per month
