- Assist in budget development and manage costs in alignment with DFWAC’s strategic plan
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly and annual financial reports
- Manage the foundation’s bank accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting deadlines
- Manage vendor invoices and process necessary payments
- Oversee accurate and appropriate analysis of expenses
- Research and resolve discrepancies of financial information documentation
- Respond to inquiries from vendors and auditors
- Assist auditors by providing supporting documentation
- Review financial information to identify potential budget variances and compile statistical information
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, finance or accounting
- Accounting Certifications such as CFA/CPA/CFM/CIMA
- 1 2 years of progressive accounting & supervisory experience

Responsibilities

- Assist in developing and implementing departmental accounting policies, procedures and processes
- Manage the foundations’ bank accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems in accordance with appropriate Accounting Principles and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain financial databases for the foundation
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting deadlines
- Manage vendor invoices and process necessary payments
- Oversee accurate and appropriate analysis of expenses
- Research and resolve discrepancies of financial information documentation for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures
- Responds to inquiries from a wide variety of sources such as vendors and auditors
- Assist auditors for the purpose of providing supporting documentation
- Review financial information in order to identify potential budget variances and compile statistical information
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, finance or accounting
- Accounting Certifications such as CFA/CPA/CFM/CIMA etc.
- 1 2 years of progressive accounting and supervisory experience
