Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Implementation & Support: Build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure across production, QA, and development environments. Contribute to design discussions and implement changes that follow established platform standards and patterns.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Flux CD, GitLab, and Azure DevOps. Troubleshoot pipeline failures, improve build reliability and speed, and apply existing pipeline and release standards.
- Automation & Tooling: Write and maintain automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages. Identify repetitive manual work on the team and replace it with tooling.
- Observability & Incident Response: Implement and tune monitoring, logging, and alerting for the services you support. Participate in on-call and incident response, perform first-line triage, and contribute findings to root-cause analysis and runbooks.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work day to day with engineering, security, and operations teams to unblock delivery. Document what you build, review peers' merge requests, and help onboard newer engineers to team tooling and practices.
- Security & Compliance Practices: Apply established security and compliance controls in infrastructure and pipelines (DevSecOps) — secrets management, patching, vulnerability remediation — and escalate risks you identify.
- Cloud Operations & Cost Awareness: Operate and maintain resources across AWS, Azure, or GCP, including networking and identity configuration. Surface cost-saving opportunities and implement approved optimizations.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in DevOps, systems administration, cloud operations, or a related field.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting Linux environments.
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g. git).
- Hands-on experience running and troubleshooting containerized workloads in Kubernetes (or Docker, Nomad, etc.).
- Working experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
