What does the job look like?

BevChain is seeking a Despatch Coordinator to support afternoon transport operations, ensuring freight moves safely, efficiently, and on time. Working closely with drivers, customers, dispatch, and site teams, you'll coordinate bookings, allocate work, monitor delivery progress, manage enquiries, and maintain compliance with Chain of Responsibility requirements. This role is ideal for a highly organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Monday to Friday, 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Key areas:

Coordinate daily afternoon transport operations and driver activities.

Act as the key contact for drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.

Manage transport-related enquiries, escalations, and service issues.

Monitor delivery progress and communicate operational updates.

Complete end-of-day closeout activities, including emails, Teams communications, and incident reporting.

Maintain operational records and customer communications through CRM and transport systems.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership.

Confident communicating with drivers, customers, and site teams.

Strong administrative and computer skills, including basic Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Flexible to occasionally start earlier or finish later to support operational requirement.

Maintain and reinforce high safety standards, ensuring all activities are completed safely and in accordance with company requirements.

Able to make sound decisions and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Confidently liaise with drivers, customers and site stakeholders with clear instructions, timely updates and respond professionally to enquiries and operational issues.

Be proactive and self-driven and motivated

Team player

Strong understanding of CoR policies and procedures.
