Responsibilities
- Lead the design management process from concept through construction documentation
- Coordinate architectural, interior design, structural, MEP, landscape, lighting, kitchen, AV, acoustics, and specialist consultants
- Ensure compliance with international hotel operator brand standards and design guidelines
- Review design submissions for quality, functionality, buildability, sustainability, and value engineering opportunities
- Manage the design programme to ensure timely delivery of all milestones
- Conduct design coordination workshops and resolve multidisciplinary design conflicts
- Liaise with project stakeholders, operators, authorities, consultants, and contractors
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, mock ups, and design related RFIs during construction
- Support procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications and tender documentation
- Ensure designs comply with local authority regulations, fire & life safety requirements, accessibility standards, and applicable building codes
- Monitor design changes and assess their impact on cost, schedule, and project objectives
- Provide technical guidance during construction to maintain design intent
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related design discipline
- Minimum 15 years of design management experience
- At least 7 years delivering luxury hospitality projects
- Experience with internationally branded hotels (e.g., Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Accor, IHG, Four Seasons)
- Previous experience within a PMC, developer, or leading consultancy environment
- Arabic speaker

Role Overview
- The Design Manager will lead and coordinate the complete design development process for luxury hospitality projects.
- Ensure all architectural, interior design, engineering, and specialist consultant deliverables meet client vision, hotel operator standards, budget, quality, and programme.
- Requires close coordination between consultants, operators, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related design discipline.
- Master's degree is an advantage.
- Professional registration or membership is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of design management experience.
- At least 7 years delivering luxury hospitality projects.
- Experience with internationally branded hotels (e.g., Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Accor, IHG, Four Seasons, or similar).
- Previous experience within a PMC, developer, or leading consultancy environment.
- Arabic Speaker Must.
