Role Overview
Nabina Building Materials is hiring a Design Manager for customized kitchens, wardrobes, doors, and joinery solutions.
The role leads and coordinates interior design activities from concept through production and installation.
The position requires practical knowledge of kitchens, wardrobes, doors, joinery, and interior fit-out.
Design Management
- Lead and coordinate the design team and daily design activities.
- Review and approve concepts, layouts, 3D visuals, and technical drawings.
- Ensure designs meet client requirements, company standards, and project specifications.
- Coordinate multiple projects and prioritize work according to deadlines.
Technical and Production Coordination
- Review AutoCAD shop drawings and production drawings before production submission.
- Verify drawings, dimensions, materials, and specifications.
- Coordinate with production and installation teams.
- Resolve design and technical issues during manufacturing and installation.
Client and Project Coordination
- Understand client requirements and provide suitable design solutions.
- Attend client meetings and presentations when required.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, site teams, and internal departments.
- Conduct site visits and support resolution of site-related design issues.
3D Visualization and Design
- Review 3D models and realistic renderings prepared by the design team.
- Guide designers on materials, finishes, colors, hardware, and detailing.
- Ensure final designs are practical, functional, and suitable for production.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in interior design, joinery, kitchens, wardrobes, doors, or fit-out.
- Currently based in Qatar.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Knowledge of Enscape or similar rendering software is preferred.
- Strong understanding of joinery details, materials, hardware, and production requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.
- NOC or transfer eligibility is advantageous.
