The company is hiring an Assistant Design Manager for its Doha team.
The role supports projects across residential, commercial, hospitality, fit-out, kitchens, wardrobes, and interior solutions.
Location and Employment
- The role is located in Doha, Qatar.
- Employment type is full-time.
Design Leadership and Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage architects, interior designers, and technical staff.
- Review and approve design concepts, drawings, and project deliverables.
- Establish design standards and ensure consistency across projects.
- Drive innovation and creative excellence within the design team.
Project Management
- Oversee projects from concept development through construction documentation and site execution.
- Develop project schedules and monitor design progress for timely delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Ensure design solutions meet project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
Technical and Design Development
- Review architectural and interior design drawings, specifications, and material selections.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Resolve design and technical challenges during project development and execution.
- Monitor design quality and the accuracy of drawings and documentation.
Site and Client Coordination
- Attend client meetings, presentations, and design reviews.
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with project teams to implement designs correctly.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, and mock-ups.
- Ensure final project execution aligns with approved design intent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in architecture, interior design, or design management is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Design Manager or Senior Design Lead role is required.
- Strong experience managing multidisciplinary design teams is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D visualization software is required.
- Revit proficiency is an advantage.
- Candidates must currently be based in Qatar.
- A valid Qatar driving licence is mandatory.
- NOC for transfer is preferred.
- Experience in fit-out, interiors, kitchens, wardrobes, commercial, hospitality, or residential projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of Qatar local authority requirements and approval processes is relevant.
- Strong understanding of materials, construction methods, and project execution is relevant.
