Role Overview
Nabina Group is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead its design team and oversee project delivery.
Projects include residential, commercial, hospitality, fit-out, kitchens, wardrobes, and interior solutions.
Location and Employment
- The role is based in Doha, Qatar.
- The employment type is full-time.
Design Leadership and Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage architects, interior designers, and technical staff.
- Review and approve design concepts, drawings, and project deliverables.
- Establish design standards and ensure consistency across projects.
- Drive innovation and creative excellence within the design team.
Project Management
- Oversee projects from concept development through construction documentation and site execution.
- Develop project schedules and monitor design progress for timely delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Ensure design solutions meet project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
Technical and Design Development
- Review architectural and interior design drawings, specifications, and material selections.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Resolve design and technical challenges during project development and execution.
- Monitor design quality and ensure accurate drawings and documentation.
Site and Client Coordination
- Attend client meetings, presentations, and design reviews.
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with project teams to implement designs.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, and mock-ups.
- Ensure final execution aligns with approved design intent.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in architecture, interior design, or design management.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Design Manager or Senior Design Lead role.
- Strong experience managing multidisciplinary design teams.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D visualization software.
- Revit proficiency is advantageous.
- Valid Qatar Driving License is mandatory.
- Experience in listed fit-out, interiors, kitchens, wardrobes, commercial, hospitality, or residential projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of Qatar authority requirements, materials, construction methods, and project execution.
