Role overview
Design and estimate firefighting and fire alarm systems while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Provide technical support across the project lifecycle, including installation and commissioning activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform fire pump hydraulic calculations to ensure system adequacy.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for fire protection systems.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project requirements.
- Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from suppliers and contractors.
- Assist with project coordination, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Support sales teams during client presentations and meetings.
- Stay updated on fire protection trends, technologies, and advancements.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least five years of experience designing and estimating firefighting and fire alarm systems.
- Strong understanding of NFPA and local building codes.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
