Role Overview
Join the client’s Operations — Engineering & Design team as a Design Engineer focused on geotechnical and piling work.
The role develops practical, buildable piling designs that support tendering and project delivery.
Designs must be technically sound, commercially viable, and appropriate for site conditions.
Role Focus
- Work from soil-investigation data, structural information, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare engineering calculations, pile schedules, and technical documentation.
- Apply practical knowledge of piling construction methods and site requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant civil or geotechnical engineering experience focused on piling and foundation works.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on piling design experience, preferably with a piling or specialist foundation contractor.
- Experience designing bored piles and/or CFA piles.
- Understanding of pile capacity, settlement, reinforcement, and piling construction methodologies.
- Experience interpreting soil investigation reports, geotechnical data, and parameters.
