Role Summary
The Design Engineer role covers product design and development, including concept creation, detailed design, manufacturing drawings, engineering analysis, change documentation, ECNs, drawing updates, and BOM management.
The role requires engineering design fundamentals, industry standards, GD&T, and manufacturing process knowledge for robust, manufacturable, cost-effective products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2–5 years of experience, or a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent with up to 2 years of experience.
- Experience in design engineering for refrigeration or air-conditioning applications and understanding of HVAC systems.
- Strong CAD capability for 3D modeling and 2D drawings; Unigraphics-NX is preferred.
- Experience in concept development, structural mechanics, and mechanical design principles.
- Understanding of casting, machining, sheet metal, and related manufacturing requirements.
