Role Overview

The Deputy Manager will lead financial operations covering accounts receivable, record-to-report, and month-end closing.

The role includes team leadership, financial controls, process improvement, and collaboration with global stakeholders.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team handling accounts receivable, record-to-report, and month-end closing.
  • Assign tasks, set performance goals, monitor efficiency and accuracy, and conduct regular team meetings.
  • Provide training and coaching and collaborate with senior leadership on team objectives.

Accounts Receivable and Cash Management

  • Supervise cash applications and bank reconciliation statements.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Ensure customer invoicing accuracy and adherence to contracts.
  • Implement strategies to improve cash flow and reduce days sales outstanding.

Accounting and Closing

  • Ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions.
  • Manage general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Review financial statements and reports for completeness and accuracy.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes.
  • Work with automation teams to improve ERP and accounting software efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • At least 8 years of financial operations experience covering accounts receivable, record-to-report, and closing activities is required.
  • Prior leadership experience managing a finance team is required.
  • Experience in process transitions and financial migrations is required.
  • Hands-on experience with financial ERP and reconciliation tools is required.

Work Schedule and Collaboration

  • The role requires flexibility to work across different shifts based on business needs, mainly night shifts.
  • The role may require urgent financial tasks outside regular working hours.
  • The role requires collaboration with global teams across different time zones and travel for process transition as needed.
