Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and inspectors across civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines
- Monitor and coordinate contractor activities within the assigned rail project area to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
- Develop discipline specific construction schedules and monitor progress against project milestones
- Monitor material procurement, delivery, and availability to ensure construction activities remain on schedule
- Maintain first level quality assurance oversight to ensure all installation works are executed in accordance with approved plans
- Supervise construction engineering activities and provide technical expertise across one or more construction disciplines
- Collaborate with construction management teams to identify and mitigate safety, environmental, and operational risks
- Coordinate with design engineering teams to support construction activities and resolve technical issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of post graduate experience on major civil or infrastructure projects
- Experience on rail, metro, transit, or related transportation projects
- Proven experience leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams
- Strong understanding of construction planning, material delivery, staging, scheduling, and site coordination

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Deputy Engineer (Civil) to join our team!
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and inspectors across civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines.
- Monitor and coordinate contractor activities within the assigned rail project area to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
- Develop discipline specific construction schedules and monitor progress against project milestones.
- Provide schedule updates, progress assessments, and reporting to the Construction Manager.
- Monitor material procurement, delivery, and availability to ensure construction activities remain on schedule.
- Verify that delivered materials comply with project specifications, quality requirements, and industry standards.
- Maintain first level quality assurance oversight to ensure all installation works are executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Supervise construction engineering activities and provide technical expertise across one or more construction disciplines.
- Ensure that inspections and testing activities are conducted, witnessed, documented, and completed in accordance with approved procedures.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to identify and mitigate safety, environmental, and operational risks.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with site specific safety requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate with design engineering teams to support construction activities and resolve technical issues.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of post graduate experience on major civil or infrastructure projects.
- Experience on rail, metro, transit, or related transportation projects.
- Proven experience leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
- Strong problem solving, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Experience with construction materials testing and quality assurance, including soil, concrete, grout, dewatering, and load testing activities.
- Strong understanding of construction planning, material delivery, staging, scheduling, and site coordination.
- Knowledge of construction quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Previous GCC project experience.
- Experience delivering fit out, station, depot, or transportation infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary construction interfaces within complex project environments.
