About the Role
Parsons seeks a Deputy Engineer (Civil) to lead a multidisciplinary team on a major rail project in Riyadh. You will oversee contractor activities, develop construction schedules, ensure quality and safety compliance, and coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and inspectors across civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines.
- Monitor and coordinate contractor activities within the assigned rail project area to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
- Develop discipline specific construction schedules and monitor progress against project milestones.
- Provide schedule updates, progress assessments, and reporting to the Construction Manager.
- Monitor material procurement, delivery, and availability to ensure construction activities remain on schedule.
- Verify that delivered materials comply with project specifications, quality requirements, and industry standards.
- Maintain first level quality assurance oversight to ensure all installation works are executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Supervise construction engineering activities and provide technical expertise across one or more construction disciplines.
- Ensure that inspections and testing activities are conducted, witnessed, documented, and completed in accordance with approved procedures.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to identify and mitigate safety, environmental, and operational risks.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with site specific safety requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate with design engineering teams to support construction activities and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of post graduate experience on major civil or infrastructure projects
- Experience on rail, metro, transit, or related transportation projects
- Proven experience leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams
- Strong problem solving, coordination, and organizational skills
- Experience with construction materials testing and quality assurance
- Strong understanding of construction planning, material delivery, staging, scheduling, and site coordination
- Knowledge of construction quality, safety, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
