Assemble and build robots on customer sites ahead of deployment, typically 2–3 weeks before the Deployment Engineer arrives to carry out the implementation.
Perform initial testing and commissioning of each robot, confirming it is fully functional before handover to the deployment team.
Conduct detailed warehouse surveys and feed accurate site information back to the deployment team to inform installation planning.
Carry out detailed Wi-Fi and mobile/cellular connectivity surveys across the site, documenting coverage and flagging any gaps or risks.
Confirm with the customer that the required power supply and infrastructure are in place ahead of deployment.
Prepare, pack, and coordinate the return shipment of tools and equipment to our Nashville facility.
Develop and maintain clear documentation of build steps, test results, site conditions, and survey findings for both customers and internal stakeholders.
Maintain effective communication with customers and the deployment team throughout the site-readiness phase.
Progressively build deployment expertise through structured on-the-job training, working towards a Deployment Engineer role.
Hands-on experience assembling, building, or maintaining hardware or mechanical systems in operational environments, including assembly, disassembly, and on-site debugging.
Comprehensive technical understanding of computer systems; prior experience with autonomous hardware systems or computer vision applications is preferred.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and reliably on customer premises.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively across North America for extended periods, often 1–3 weeks at a time.
Valid driving license required.
