Role Overview
Join Manulife's Canadian AI team as a Data Scientist applying advanced analytics, machine learning, generative AI, and emerging agentic AI techniques.
Work with large and complex datasets to develop data-driven and AI-enabled solutions that improve business processes and support strategic decisions.
Collaborate with subject-matter experts, AI Product Managers, Agentic Engineers, and technology partners.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop analytics, machine learning, and generative-AI solutions for business processes and strategic decisions.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover insights, opportunities, and measurable value drivers.
- Apply statistical modeling, machine learning, experimentation, and AI evaluation techniques.
- Test AI assistants, copilots, RAG solutions, and agentic workflows with technology and engineering teams.
- Lead moderate-scope data-science projects from problem framing through analysis and recommendation.
- Connect and integrate data across multiple systems.
- Document analytical methods, assumptions, limitations, and technical decisions for review and governance.
- Communicate results, recommend solution options, and contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing.
