Role Overview
The role is for an experienced Data Scientist specializing in semantic modeling, data product development, and AI-ready data architectures.
The position focuses on semantic data models consumed by AI agents, analytics platforms, and business applications.
The role supports the organization's longer-term AI and analytics roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Design enterprise semantic data models for AI, analytics, and business consumption.
- Define KPIs, metrics, dimensions, hierarchies, and data relationships.
- Build semantic and logical data layers for AI agents, reporting, and advanced analytics.
- Develop performant SQL-based semantic views and reusable data assets.
- Integrate semantic models with data products and enterprise data platforms.
- Translate business requirements into scalable semantic models.
- Standardize business definitions across data domains through governance.
- Enable structured data consumption for AI and Generative AI applications.
- Optimize models for performance, scalability, and usability.
- Contribute to data architecture, data quality, and metadata management practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least eight years of experience in data science, semantic modeling, data product development, or related work.
- Strong experience with Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
- Experience with Oracle databases and enterprise data platforms.
- Deep understanding of semantic modeling, dimensional modeling, and data product concepts.
- Hands-on experience defining and implementing business KPIs, measures, and metrics.
- Strong knowledge of relational and analytical data modeling techniques.
- Experience building semantic layers for BI, analytics, or AI-driven solutions.
- Familiarity with metadata management, data governance, and business glossaries.
- Understanding of AI and Generative AI use cases for AI agents.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with large-scale data modernization and cloud data platforms.
- Exposure to RAG, Agentic AI, or enterprise AI solutions.
- Knowledge of Data Mesh and Data Product operating models.
- Experience working in banking and financial services environments.
