- The role is hybrid and based in the central Pune office.
Role overview
The role strengthens delivery capability across strategic accounts in Consumer Goods, Financial Services, and Energy.
The consultant will help build dbt capability in India while supporting data and AI-driven transformation projects.
The position involves designing and delivering data transformations for a high-visibility project with increasing autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex data models using dbt Core.
- Build and manage scalable Snowflake data transformation pipelines for performance and cost efficiency.
- Apply version control, modularity, and CI/CD best practices in the data stack.
- Write robust dbt tests and maintain documentation through dbt docs.
- Tune Snowflake compute and storage using clustering keys, materialized views, and efficient SQL.
- Translate business requirements into technical data schemas with Data Analysts and Business Leads.
Required background
- At least 2 years of experience with dbt Core or native Snowflake dbt, including macros, packages, and Jinja templating.
- Strong SQL fundamentals and practical dbt experience.
- Deep understanding of Snowflake Tasks, Streams, Snowpipe, and zero-copy cloning.
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical partners.
- A proactive learning mindset, transparency, and ownership of outcomes.
Additional background
- Familiarity with Git or Bitbucket and awareness of CI/CD concepts are useful but not mandatory.
