- Validate data, catch errors early, and escalate issues appropriately
- Support short to mid term project implementations and contribute to team deliverables
- Document business and technical processes
- Develop toolsets and methods to improve data quality and availability
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in asset management or investment management operations
- Understanding of financial instruments (fixed income, equity, derivative securities)
- Strong attention to detail and data validation skills
- Coachability and growth mindset
- Ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
- Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL and/or Python
- Data quality focus and ownership mentality

Opportunity Overview
- The Data Operations team maintains securities, issuers, accounts, and benchmarks for RBC Global Asset Management.
- As a Data Management Analyst, you will ensure data accuracy and quality, supporting investment operations and strategic initiatives.
What will you do?
- Maintain and enrich RBC GAM's data warehouse including security classification, analytics, and reference data.
- Perform data quality checks and create securities on GAM's platforms with high accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal clients to identify, document, and source data requirements.
- Validate data, catch errors early, and escalate issues appropriately.

What do you need to succeed?
- 1+ years of experience in asset management or investment management operations.
- Understanding of financial instruments (fixed income, equity, derivative securities).
- Strong attention to detail and data validation skills.

- Ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment.
- Nice to have: Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL and/or Python.

Salary Range
- Expected salary range: CAD 55,000 CAD 90,000 depending on experience, skills, and market conditions.
- Eligible for discretionary/variable incentive payment.
