Data Loss Prevention Analyst

Data Protection and Compliance

• Protect customer and support data, employee information, financial records, legal and contractual documents, and intellectual property.
• Support privacy, regulatory, contractual, and audit compliance initiatives.
• Assist with investigations involving potential data leakage, data misuse, or policy violations.

Endpoint DLP and Monitoring

• Deploy and optimize Endpoint DLP controls for USB media, printing, web uploads, clipboard activity, and remote access.
• Work with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Intune administrators on onboarding and enforcement.
• Monitor DLP alerts, investigate false positives and false negatives, and tune detection controls.
• Support SOC workflows, alert triage, escalation, operational metrics, and executive reporting.

Automation and Program Delivery

• Integrate DLP alerts and telemetry with security monitoring and reporting platforms.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Power Automate, and Microsoft security APIs where appropriate.
• Create dashboards and reporting solutions for data protection risks and policy compliance.
• Support deployments, pilots, adoption initiatives, documentation, runbooks, procedures, training materials, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data loss prevention, information protection, Microsoft 365 security and compliance, or cybersecurity engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview DLP.
• Experience supporting one or more Microsoft 365 workloads, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, or Endpoint DLP.
• Strong understanding of data classification, information governance, and protection technologies.
• Experience with Sensitive Information Types, sensitivity labels, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Intune, and PowerShell administration and automation.
• Experience troubleshooting complex security and compliance issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft SC-400 certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Experience implementing DLP in global, highly distributed environments.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and similar data protection requirements.
• Experience building Power BI security or compliance dashboards.
• Experience supporting legal, compliance, eDiscovery, or investigation workflows.
• Familiarity with insider risk, information governance, and records management capabilities within Microsoft Purview.
