Program Overview

  • McKesson’s Intern program provides a real life working environment, a solid foundation of experience, a cohort experience, and senior leadership exposure.
  • Work Term: Fall 2026 September 8th through December 31st.
  • Location: Mississauga, ON, CAN 2300 Meadowvale Blvd (Hybrid).

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Governance & Compliance: Execute and support enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and privacy requirements (e.g., PHI/PII, PIPEDA).
  • Support data classification, retention, and access governance processes.
  • Data Quality Management: Define, implement, and monitor data quality rules and controls for critical data elements.
  • Perform data profiling, data quality assessments, and trend analysis.
  • Identify, track, and support remediation of data quality issues.
  • Metadata & Data Catalog Management: Identify critical data assets and maintain metadata in the enterprise data catalog.
  • Define and maintain business glossary terms, data definitions, and lineage.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business data owners, stewards, and cross functional teams.
  • Governance Operations & Reporting: Support governance KPI development, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Data Access & Risk Management: Support data access reviews and ensure alignment with data sensitivity.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Information Systems, Information Management, Data Management, Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrates interest in data governance, data privacy, information security, healthcare data management, regulatory compliance, or data quality management.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Key Competencies: Data quality and issue remediation, metadata and data catalog management, regulatory compliance and privacy, stakeholder collaboration, governance process execution.

Base Pay Range

  • CAD 17.69 CAD 22.21 per hour.
