Data Engineer – OCI Data Lakehouse (DLH) Projects

Role Overview

Location and Employment

• Location: UAE.
• Employment type: Full-Time.
• Department: Data Management Office.
• Experience: 7+ years.

Data Engineering and Pipelines

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using OCI Data Flow, ODI, and AIDP.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes and implement Delta Lakehouse ingestion, curation, and consumption layers.

Data Modeling and Storage

• Design analytical data models, data marts, and datasets on Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse.
• Manage structured and unstructured datasets in OCI Object Storage, including lifecycle and cost optimization strategies.
• Align data structures with business reporting, operational analytics, and AI/ML use cases.

Architecture, Quality, and Performance

• Create reusable ingestion frameworks and embed data quality, lineage, metadata, and governance controls in pipelines.
• Tune SQL workloads, Spark jobs, ETL processes, and ADW performance.
• Monitor processing efficiency and resolve bottlenecks affecting platform utilization.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, OCI Object Storage, OCI Data Flow, ODI, and AIDP.
• Advanced SQL and Python proficiency is required.
• Experience with modern data pipelines, cloud-native data platforms, Delta Lakehouse architecture, Medallion Architecture, and data versioning is required.
• Strong performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting experience is required.

Domain and Preferred Qualifications

• Insurance domain exposure, including policy administration, claims management, underwriting, and finance or regulatory reporting, is preferred but not mandatory.
• Oracle GoldenGate, CDC pipelines, data observability, governance, metadata management, and AI/ML feature engineering experience are preferred.
