Key responsibilities will include
- Build, maintain and optimise scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Databricks.
- Work with stakeholders across the business to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy and consistency through validation and monitoring processes.
- Design and maintain data models within Databricks and Azure SQL environments.
- Transform and prepare data for reporting, analytics and business intelligence.
- Support Power BI reporting and dashboard solutions alongside the BI team.
- Manage and optimise Azure and Databricks resources to ensure performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, security and compliance controls across the data platform.
- Maintain documentation and support continuous improvement of data engineering processes.
- Contribute to innovation, knowledge sharing and best practice within the Data & Business Intelligence team.
We are looking for you to already be working in a Data Engineer, or similar data-focused role, with
Experience building and managing data pipelines and ETL processes.
Strong SQL skills and experience with data modelling.
Experience integrating data from multiple structured and unstructured sources.
Strong understanding of cloud-based data architecture.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with Azure, Databricks or similar cloud data platforms.
A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering high-quality data solutions.
