Job Purpose
- Financial Crime is a global HSBC function responsible for managing financial crime risk across AML, sanctions, fraud, and anti bribery and corruption.
- We're hiring an Analyst, FC Risk Analysis and Discovery to support MENAT markets with proactive insights on financial crime trends and typologies.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Produce high quality research outputs using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Review and interpret regulatory publications and guidance, leveraging the Bank's Typology Library tool.
- Support the team's news summary by carrying out horizon scanning and summarizing relevant external developments.
- Apply strong critical thinking to combine complex risk information from multiple sources into clear, actionable insights.
- Identify patterns, trends, and key risk indicators within large and varied datasets.
- Bring a curious, proactive, and innovative mindset, using open and closed source intelligence.
Experience & Qualifications
- A graduation degree is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit.
- Strong financial crime risk knowledge, including money laundering, sanctions evasion, and fraud.
- Solid data analytics capability, able to work with complex datasets and create impactful visualizations.
- Network analysis experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional fluency in English required; additional languages an advantage.
- Degree with proven analytical and problem solving skills.
- ACAMS and/or other relevant certifications are desirable.
