Job Title: Senior Data Analyst – Banking Domain
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Data Analyst
with deep expertise in
SQL, data mapping, data marts, and data warehousing
, along with significant exposure to the
banking domain (last 5–6 years)
.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in transforming business requirements into scalable data solutions and enabling data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize
- complex SQL queries
- for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
- Lead
- data mapping and data lineage activities
- across multiple systems
- Develop and maintain
- data marts and enterprise data warehouse (EDW)
- structures
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into
- data models and analytical solutions
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems
- Work closely with ETL teams to define and validate
- data transformation logic
- Perform
- data analysis and profiling
- to support reporting and regulatory requirements
- Support
- banking-specific analytics use cases
- (e.g., risk, compliance, customer analytics, transactions)
- Document data flows, mappings, and technical specifications
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance
Required Skills & Experience
- **13+ years**
- of experience in Data Analytics / Data Engineering roles
- Strong expertise in:
- **SQL (advanced level – complex joins, performance tuning, optimization)**
- **Data Mapping & Data Lineage**
- **Data Warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schemas)**
- **Data Mart design and implementation**
- Solid understanding of
- ETL processes and data pipelines
- Experience working with large-scale
- relational databases
(e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
