Responsibilities
- Provide security analysis and design oversight within the Office of Information Technology
- Install, configure, manage, and monitor intrusion detection/prevention systems and hardware/software firewalls
- Conduct proactive and reactive vulnerability and risk analyses of existing systems and implement mitigation plans
- Assist in developing and maintaining a campus wide information technology awareness and training plan
- Draft standards, procedural and policy documentation for security and awareness campaigns
- Conduct proactive assessments on all ERP systems including Microsoft and Oracle database management systems
- Install, update and monitor enterprise endpoint protection systems (McAfee, Splunk, data center protection)
- Initiate ideas for new directions and demonstrate realistic designs for development and implementation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Security Stack (MS Endpoint protection, Defender, Sentinel)
- 3 4 years of experience as a Systems Administrator with knowledge in cyber security (or equivalent)
- Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems and firewalls
- Experience with vulnerability and risk analysis

Description
- Provides security analysis and design oversight and assistance within the Office of Information Technology.

- Conducts both proactive and reactive vulnerability and risk analyses of existing systems and implements standards and procedures to mitigate risk.
- Assists immediate supervisor in the development and maintenance of a campus wide information technology awareness and training plan.
- Drafts standards, procedural and policy documentation and provides insight into topics for campus wide security and awareness campaigns.
- Conduct proactive assessments on all ERP systems including both Microsoft and Oracle database management systems.
- Installs, updates and monitors enterprise end point protection systems – end point protection, data loss protection system such as McAfee and Splunk, and data center protection systems.
- Initiates ideas for new directions and demonstrates realistic designs for development and implementation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- This is a Permanent position based out of Terre Haute, IN.
Pay And Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $65000.00 $68000.00/yr.
- Life Insurance: coverage based on two and one half times appointment salary, max $100,000.
- Medical, Dental and Prescription Drug Coverage: cost shared between employees and the University.
- TIAA Retirement Contributions: 10% of base salary paid by ISU, vested immediately.
- Long Term Disability Coverage: after 3 years of continuous employment.
- Fee Waiver Program: reduced course work for employee, spouse and dependent children.
- Sick Leave: accrued at 12 days per fiscal year.
- Vacation: 15 days per year (level 11 and below) or 20 days (level 12 and above).
