Focus

  • Lead end to end business analysis for enterprise scale finance systems transformation

  • Drive measurable outcomes across transactional data warehouse initiatives

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead or support requirement gathering meetings with finance or technical experts and translate them into clear documentation
  • Perform data queries, data analyses, challenge requirements, and find solutions to integrate new or update existing data flows
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, design, and document data integration and transformation solutions
  • Present during peer reviews, executive meetings, or to technical experts to identify the best solutions and provide functional requirements for development
  • Track progress, list tasks, meet deadlines, and update the work management tool accordingly
  • Deliver expected results for business and technical stakeholders to meet testing requirements; support the testing team in validations and data preparation

Must Have Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst role for a finance team and/or financial systems
  • Strong understanding of ETL principles, data elements, data structures, and data modelling
  • Knowledge of databases, financial systems, IT systems, and technologies (data warehouse, SQL, SAS, ETL tools, ERP systems like Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Proficiency in using Office 365, Excel, Visio, Jira, RDBMS (e.g., Toad, MS SQL server)
  • Excellent communication skills to gather, synthesize, and present clear and complete requirements
  • Ability to interact with a variety of people at all levels of the organization
  • Eligibility to work in Canada; candidates based in Quebec must be bilingual (English/French)
  • CPA or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, insight, discipline, and leadership skills

Education Requirements

  • Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems Management, Business Intelligence, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Studies or minor in Finance or Accounting is considered an asset
  • Completion of a CPA designation is preferred
