Role Description
- The Cyber Security Director will lead the design, implementation, and oversight of the organization’s overall security strategy and governance framework. This part time hybrid role is based in Dubai, with a balance of on site presence and work from home flexibility.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Assessing security risks, defining security policies and standards, overseeing security operations, and reviewing application, network, and information security controls.
- Collaborating with leadership and technical teams to ensure security architecture aligns with business objectives.
- Conducting periodic security audits and guiding incident response planning.
- Mentoring team members, staying current with emerging threats and regulatory requirements, and recommending improvements to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to develop and oversee enterprise wide security programs.
- Experience in Network Security, including securing network infrastructure, monitoring for threats, and implementing protective controls.
- Expertise in Application Security, with skills in assessing, designing, and enforcing secure development and deployment practices.
- Proficiency in Security Architecture Design, including creating secure technical architectures and integrating security into business and IT initiatives.
- Proven experience in a senior or director level security role, preferably within complex or multi location organizations.
- Relevant academic background in computer science, information security, engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSK are advantageous.
- Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem solving skills, with the ability to make clear decisions and communicate recommendations to non technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor cross functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a hybrid working environment.
