About the Role

Manage the complete customs clearance process for fresh fruits, vegetables, food products, and related FMCG shipments in the UAE.

Coordinate with customs authorities and government entities to ensure efficient and compliant shipment clearance.

Compensation

  • Monthly salary is AED 4,000.

  • The position is full-time.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of hands-on customs clearance experience in the UAE.
  • Proven experience with fresh fruits, vegetables, food products, and FMCG shipments.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE customs clearance procedures and import documentation.
  • Practical understanding of customs declarations, HS codes, duties, inspections, and shipment release procedures.
  • Experience dealing with ports, customs authorities, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and government authorities.
  • Fluent English is mandatory.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Ability to independently manage clearance from document preparation through final release.
  • UAE-based candidates with immediately relevant experience are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end customs clearance for fresh fruits, vegetables, food items, and FMCG products.
  • Prepare, review, and submit invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading or airway bills, and other documents.
  • Coordinate with UAE Customs, ports, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and government authorities.
  • Handle declarations and verify HS codes, product descriptions, quantities, and declared values.
  • Coordinate food and agricultural product clearance and required permits, certificates, and approvals.
  • Follow up on inspections, customs holds, discrepancies, and shipment releases.
  • Clear shipments on time to minimize delays, storage, demurrage, and other costs.
  • Monitor customs duties, applicable fees, and clearance-related charges.
  • Maintain accurate declarations, clearance documents, permits, and shipment files.
  • Communicate shipment status with suppliers, customers, transport companies, warehouses, and internal teams.
  • Identify and resolve customs clearance issues promptly.
  • Stay updated on UAE customs procedures and import requirements for food and agricultural products.

Work Location

  • The stated work location is hybrid remote in Dubai, UAE.
