Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CTP Operator to join our Prepress & Digital Printing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and outputting printing plates, ensuring accurate imposition, maintaining CTP equipment, monitoring quality standards, and supporting efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret job dockets to ensure accurate plate preparation and output.
- Perform imposition and prepare files for plate production according to job specifications.
- Monitor CTP systems, processors, benders, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, process issues, or quality concerns to the Supervisor or CTP In-Charge.
- Conduct routine maintenance of CTP equipment and servers, including file management and system housekeeping.
- Ensure proper calibration and quality control throughout the plate-making process.
- Minimize plate waste and chemical consumption by following established procedures and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of plate and chemical usage.
- Support production requirements and undertake additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate or Diploma in Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, Computer Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of CTP workflows, imposition, calibration, and prepress operations.
- Knowledge of printing chemicals and plate processing.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards and printing industry best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and adaptable.
- Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per hour
