Role overview
Seeking a qualified and experienced CSSD Technician to join a client’s team in Dubai.
Key responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and store surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Prepare and package instrument sets according to established standards and procedures.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including autoclaves.
- Maintain sterilization records, logs, and traceability documentation.
- Conduct routine monitoring and quality checks of sterilization processes.
- Handle and segregate contaminated and sterile items properly.
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention, CSSD, and facility policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with Operating Theatre and clinical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments and supplies.
- Report equipment issues, sterilization failures, or other concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification or certification in CSSD, Sterile Processing, or a related healthcare field.
- Previous CSSD or sterile-processing experience in a hospital, day surgery center, or healthcare facility.
- Knowledge of sterilization, decontamination, infection control, and instrument-handling standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
