Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive vision and eye assessments.
• Perform refraction and determine appropriate optical prescriptions.
• Assess visual acuity, binocular vision, and other relevant visual functions.
• Assist ophthalmologists with diagnostic testing and patient assessments.
• Perform ophthalmic investigations and operate relevant diagnostic equipment.
• Provide appropriate guidance on eyeglasses, contact lenses, and vision care.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
• Educate patients on eye health, proper lens use, and preventive eye care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical, patient-safety, and infection-control standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or recognized qualification in Optometry.
• Valid DHA license or eligibility as an Optometrist.
• Relevant clinical experience, preferably in an ophthalmology or eye-care setting.
• Good knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and procedures.
• Strong patient-care, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

License and Certification

• DHA License is required.
