About the Role
NMC Healthcare LLC seeks a CSSD Technician to manage the Central Sterile Supply Department in Abu Dhabi. Responsibilities include supervising sterilization processes, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with infection control policies, and training staff.

Responsibilities
- Perform all managerial functions of CSSD
- Establish and ensure implementation of CSSD policies and procedures
- Ensure instruments and equipment are cleaned and decontaminated according to guidelines
- Direct and supervise activities relating to washer/disinfectors and other equipment
- Ensure instrument sets are standardized, sterilized, and in good working condition
- Prepare duty rotas, assign tasks and duties of CSSD staff
- Develop and coordinate orientation of new staff
- Assess CSSD supply needs and establish standard inventory
- Monitor, document, and report effectiveness of sterilizers
- Notify appropriate departments of equipment malfunction or supply shortages
- Develop, coordinate, and participate in routine educational programs and staff meetings
- Monitor compliance with policy and procedure

- Experience in CSSD operations
- Knowledge of sterilization and infection control policies

Key Responsibilities
- Performs all managerial function of CSSD

- Directs and supervises activities relating to the operation of washer/disinfectors and other related equipment
- Ensures instruments sets are standardized, sterilized and in good working condition according to hospital policies and procedures
- Prepares duty rotas, assigns tasks and duties of CSSD staff
- Develops and coordinates with the Education Department in the orientation of new staff according to orientation program and hospital policies and procedures
- Assesses CSSD supply needs and establishes a standard CSSD inventory
- Monitors documents and reports effectiveness of sterilizers
- Notifies appropriate departments of malfunction of equipment or lack of supplies
- Develops, coordinates and participates in routine educational programs and staff meeting to facilitate professional growth and quality patient care
- Monitors compliance with policy and procedure
