About the role
The Commis II assists chefs in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
The role helps maintain high standards and quality in food preparation.
Main duties
- Assist with preparing food items according to standard procedures, recipe cards, and senior chef instructions.
- Support the Commis I, Demi Chef de Partie, and Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.
- Keep workstations, equipment, and utensils clean, sanitized, and organized.
- Apply basic food handling, hygiene, and sanitation knowledge.
- Receive, check, and properly store deliveries as instructed.
- Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to teamwork.
- Perform related duties and tasks assigned by senior kitchen staff or management.
- Perform tasks or projects assigned by the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Executive Chef.
