Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Creative Director** to join our team!
Job Description
As a Creative Director – Show, Media, Games and Gamification, you will operate under the Executive Creative Director to safeguard and oversee implementation of the approved creative vision for all show-based, media-driven, interactive, and gamified elements.
You will act as the discipline-specific creative guardian for show, media, game, and gamified experiences, ensuring third-party deliverables faithfully interpret and implement the approved direction.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing, reviewing, and validating show, media, interactive, and gameplay design submissions to confirm alignment with the approved creative vision, design intent, narrative, experiential benchmarks, and design principles.
- Overseeing and reviewing scripts, storyboards, animatics, gameplay mechanics, UX flows, media treatments, and other relevant content prepared by vendors.
- Overseeing and reviewing media production pipelines including filmed content, animation, real-time engine content, projection mapping, and interactive systems.
- Reviewing and endorsing creative deliverables from stakeholders, vendors, and sub-vendors in a timely manner.
- Safeguarding experiential pacing, emotional arc, audience engagement, and replay value of shows, media, games, and gamification content.
- Monitoring integration of show and media systems with ride systems, show action equipment, AV infrastructure, control systems, and digital engagement platforms to ensure alignment with creative vision and intended visitor experience.
- Assessing technical resolutions and value engineering proposals affecting show, media, and game systems to verify that experiential integrity is preserved.
- Coordinating closely with the Executive Creative Director to ensure cross-disciplinary alignment between spatial design, attractions, show systems, interactive technologies, and operational functionality.
- Providing formal creative endorsement, with Executive Creative Director concurrence, at key submission stages including concept validation, design development, pre-production approval, prototype review, FAT, SAT, integration, commissioning, and opening readiness.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Minimum 15 years of experience in show direction, media creative leadership, immersive media and entertainment oversight, gamified location-based entertainment environments, and/or interactive experience development.
- Proven experience in creative oversight for theme park attractions, location-based entertainment, large-scale media installations, immersive projection environments, game-based experiences, and/or live entertainment productions.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and guiding third-party media studios, game developers, interactive vendors, show contractors, and other creative/technical teams.
- Strong technical literacy in show control systems, AV integration, projection technologies, real-time media platforms, interactive systems, and gameplay logic.
- Experience supporting projects through design validation, technical coordination, testing, commissioning, and operational launch.
- Experience within IP-governed environments.
