- Coordinate with other departments to ensure all costs are properly charged and visible.
- Responsible for project budget, invoicing, change control, and cost forecasting.
- Provide financial and cost analysis as well as earned value and cost performance reporting.
- Set up baseline budget with appropriate WBS interfacing with various disciplines.
- Analyze, evaluate, forecast, and report cost status against established baseline.
- Prepare/update various weekly and monthly cost tracking reports.
- Establish resource, revenue, and cost projections for projects.
- Perform variance analysis and initiate/recommend corrective actions.
- Utilize historical data and trends for future planning and forecasting.
- Participate in monthly & quarterly reviews and support project team in explaining variances.
- Provide guidance and specialized assistance for resolution of complex cost control problems.
- Support Project Director in reviewing and finalizing business plan.
Requirements
- Saudi National required.
- Experience in cost control, budgeting, and cost forecasting on large projects.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and project teams.
- Proficiency in earned value management and variance analysis.
- Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and project control systems.

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for a Cost Specialist (Saudi National) to join the team in Tabuk.
- The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining cost control functions and protocols in support of the department manager on one or more larger projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinating with other Departments to ensure that all costs are properly charged on jobs and project cost control person has full visibility.
- Responsible for project budget, invoicing, change control, and cost forecasting for the project.
- Provide financial and cost analysis as well as earned value and cost performance reporting.
- Set up baseline budget (resource/revenue/cost) with appropriate WBS interfacing with various disciplines and in coordination with the Project Manager and Scheduler.
- Analyze, evaluate, forecast, and report cost status against the established baseline in collaboration with the planning team.
- Prepares/updates various weekly and monthly cost tracking reports.
- Establishes resource, revenue, and cost projections for projects in coordination with project teams.
- Performs variance analysis against the baseline projections and initiates/recommends corrective actions.
- Utilizes historical data and trends for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
- Participate in the monthly & quarterly reviews and support the project team to explain the variances and justifications.
- Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex cost control problems.
- Supports the Project Director in reviewing and finalizing the business plan.
Additional Responsibilities
- Customizes project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
- May interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and provide statistical reports.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
