Cost Manager

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive post-contract cost management services, including cost reporting, valuations, and final accounts
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders
• Manage post-contract cost management activities, including quantity measurement, cost reporting, valuations, payment applications, variations, change management, and final accounts
• Review and assess contractor submissions, valuations, claims, and cost proposals
• Provide commercially sound advice on contractual matters, variations, and change control, ensuring risks are identified and effectively managed
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance, proactively identifying opportunities to improve cost control
• Prepare accurate monthly cost reports, forecasts, and commercial updates for client review
• Attend project meetings and provide clear commercial advice and guidance to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, project procedures, and industry best practices
• Maintain accurate post-contract commercial records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Support the wider project team to achieve the client's commercial and delivery objectives

Requirements

• Strong experience in early works packages, including earthworks, enabling works, shoring / temporary works
• Experience delivering building assets such as commercial, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use developments
