Job Description
The Cost Controller establishes, coordinates, and administers Food and Beverage control and accounting functions.
The role supports efficient operation of the hotel Food and Beverage Control Department and provides cost control support to hotel outlets.
The position handles short- and long-term planning and daily operations for Food and Beverage control and accounting functions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and recommend Food and Beverage department objectives within approved plans.
- Formulate accounting and reporting policy related to Food and Beverage operations.
- Coordinate systems and procedures and prepare operating data and special reports against plans and standards.
- Report and interpret operational results to management and ownership to support timely decisions and maximize profits.
- Resolve problems and maintain Food and Beverage accounting systems and equipment.
- Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, taxes, and other financial reports.
- Report discrepancies and variances to the Financial Controller and Food and Beverage Director and initiate corrective action.
Requirements
- Ability to establish, coordinate, and administer Food and Beverage control and accounting functions.
- Ability to formulate accounting and reporting policies related to Food and Beverage operations.
- Ability to prepare operating data, special reports, budgets, forecasts, taxes, and financial reports.
- Ability to identify and address discrepancies and variances in Food and Beverage accounting operations.
