Role Overview

  • As part of the Finance Department, the Cost Accountant will be responsible for managing inventory, POS systems, and inventory management systems across multiple F&B outlets. The role focuses on ensuring accurate inventory valuation, effective food and beverage cost control, supplier account manageme

Educational & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce (mandatory).
  • Professional Degree or Certifications (Preferred): CMA, CIMA, ICMA or equivalent professional qualifications in Cost & Management Accounting or Inventory Management.

Work Experience & Industry Exposure

  • Minimum 2 3 years of experience in Cost Accounting, preferably within the F&B, hospitality, restaurant, or retail industry.
  • Proven experience in Inventory Management, Food & Beverage Cost Control, POS Administration, and Inventory Management Systems, including stock control, recipe costing, variance analysis, and cost reporting.
  • Experience in Supplier Management, including supplier onboarding, credit account setup, contract register management, procurement coordination.

Accounting Knowledge & Technical Skills

  • Inventory management, stock control, inventory reconciliation, and variance analysis.
  • Food & Beverage cost control, recipe costing, menu costing, and gross profit analysis.
  • POS administration, including menu/button creation, pricing, and database setup.
  • Inventory Management System administration, including item master and master data management.
  • Supplier account management, credit account setup, and contract register maintenance.
  • Preparation of cost control reports, inventory reports, and management analysis.
  • Procurement controls, receiving procedures, and supplier pricing management.
  • Proficiency in ERP, POS, and Inventory Management Systems, preferably Micros Simphony and My Inventory.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and management reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of internal controls, audit support, and inventory compliance procedures.
