Role Purpose
Serve as the Group's onsite legal presence in Dubai.
Provide hands-on legal support to UAE operations while managing corporate, licensing, regulatory, and compliance matters across the UAE and wider international operations.
Legal Function
The Group Legal team owns licensing, corporate structuring, and compliance across markets in Europe, Africa, LATAM, and Asia.
The Dubai legal function works closely with senior business stakeholders in a highly autonomous structure.
Onsite Legal Support
- Provide day-to-day legal support on commercial, corporate, licensing, employment, and regulatory matters.
- Act as the first point of contact for local legal and regulatory questions.
- Provide practical and commercially focused legal advice.
Corporate and Licensing
- Manage UAE entity establishment, restructuring, governance, shareholder matters, and statutory filings.
- Coordinate with authorities, free zones, registered agents, and external counsel.
- Support UAE gaming or iGaming licensing applications, renewals, filings, and ongoing compliance where applicable.
Regulatory and Compliance
- Maintain relationships with UAE regulators, licensing authorities, and government bodies.
- Monitor UAE laws and regulations covering gaming, corporate, commercial, AML/KYC, data protection, and employment matters.
- Support local compliance frameworks, regulatory enquiries, audits, investigations, and compliance reviews.
Contracts
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on commercial, vendor, partnership, employment, NDA, and other business agreements under UAE law.
- Identify key legal and commercial risks and coordinate specialist UAE advice when required.
Cross-Border Coordination
- Liaise with Group Legal, Legal Operations, and Compliance on multi-jurisdiction matters.
- Support international corporate structuring, licensing, and regulatory projects led from Dubai.
- Coordinate with external lawyers and advisors across jurisdictions.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in the UAE or another recognized jurisdiction.
- At least 4 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong experience in corporate, commercial, regulatory, or licensing law.
- Good understanding of UAE regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of AML/KYC and cross-border regulatory requirements.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Willing and able to work onsite in Dubai, UAE.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with UAE corporate structures, free zones, or local regulatory authorities is strongly preferred.
- Experience in iGaming, gaming, gambling, fintech, or another highly regulated industry is strongly preferred.
