Corporate Accounting Manager

Job Purpose

Audits and Consolidation

• Lead annual statutory audits, own audit timetables, manage audit schedules, and drive closure of audit queries and adjustments.
• Own statutory consolidation under IFRS 10, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, non-controlling interests, goodwill, and consolidation adjustments.
• Maintain complete monthly statutory records, reconciliations, statutory ledgers, and audit trails.

IFRS Technical Accounting

• Prepare and review IFRS 9 expected credit loss workings, including provision matrices, ageing, segmentation, loss rates, and macroeconomic overlays.
• Prepare and maintain IFRS 16 lease registers, right-of-use asset and lease liability schedules, borrowing rate assessments, modifications, remeasurements, and disclosures.
• Lead IFRS 8 operating segment implementation, reporting frameworks, disclosures, and reconciliations.
• Lead IAS 41 agriculture implementation, including biological assets, fair value measurement, valuation models, and disclosures.

Statutory Reporting and Controls

• Prepare quarterly statutory financial statements, interim condensed statements under IAS 34, supporting notes, schedules, and reconciliations.
• Lead annual report preparation for listed companies in KSA and ensure compliance with Tadawul and CMA filing and disclosure requirements.
• Manage statutory close calendars and review reconciliations, accruals, provisions, impairments, fixed assets, and related party balances.
• Support ICOFR by documenting and testing controls, remediating gaps, and ensuring process compliance.

Finance Transformation and Leadership

• Assess new and amended IFRS standards, prepare accounting position papers, and maintain the accounting policies manual.
• Coordinate with tax, treasury, internal audit, auditors, consultants, advisors, and internal stakeholders on statutory reporting and controls.
• Drive automation of ERP workflows, consolidation, reconciliations, and statutory close processes.
• Lead, coach, and develop the corporate accounting team and build technical IFRS capability.

Experience Requirements

• Eight to ten years of accounting and financial reporting experience, including at least three years leading a corporate accounting or statutory reporting function.
• Big Four or professional audit firm experience with statutory audit and group consolidation exposure is highly preferred.
• Hands-on IFRS 8 and IAS 41 implementation experience is essential.
• Experience preparing statutory financial statements and annual reports is required.
• FMCG, retail, or multi-entity, multi-currency group experience is preferred.

Qualifications and Skills

• Qualified Chartered Accountant, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent professional qualification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or commerce is required.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS, advanced Excel, and ERP systems is required.
• English proficiency is required; Arabic is advantageous.
• SOCPA membership and Zakat or corporate tax training are advantageous.
