Role Overview
Under the guidance of the Chief Geologist, the Core Logging Geologists will be positive hard working team players who are passionate about geology and help to grow the Kinross – Great Bear project from generative exploration and drill targeting, through to resource delineation and grade control in the future Open Pit and Underground environments. Core Logging Geologists will work independently to better understand all geologic factors and bring forward ideas to further improve our understanding of the mineralized system and surrounding areas.

Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Chief Geologist, the Core Logging Geologists will be positive hard working team players who are passionate about geology and help to grow the Kinross – Great Bear project from generative exploration and drill targeting, through to resource delineation and grade control in the future Open Pit and Underground environments. Core Logging Geologists will work independently to better understand all geologic factors and bring forward ideas to further improve our understanding of the mineralized system and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- The primary duty will be logging diamond drill core with an emphasis on recording lithology, structure mineralization and alteration.
- A geological interpretation may be required after each hole, or fan of logging is completed.
- Provide drill shutdowns and line ups when survey team is not available.
- Fill-in for UG/OP Beat Geologists as necessary.

- Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
