- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
- Test foods to ensure proper cooking
- Monitor food quality during preparation
- Set up and clean workstations
- Portion and plate food in appropriate containers
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
- Ensure proper equipment and food temperatures
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- No supervisory experience required
- Ability to stand, sit, walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
