Position Overview

Cook II is a full-time, non-management Food and Beverage & Culinary position at Aloft Hotels.

The role prepares fresh ingredients and cooks high-quality dishes according to recipes or menus and within prescribed timeframes.

Schedule

  • The position is scheduled full time.

Workplace

  • The role is on-site at the Aloft Hotels location on Sheikh Rashid Road and 37th Street in Dubai.
  • The position is not remote.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare fresh ingredients and cook them according to recipes or menus.
  • Prepare high-quality dishes within prescribed timeframes.
  • Test dishes to verify doneness and temperature.
  • Use kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of food preparation surfaces and storage containers.
  • Work with seasonal menus and unique presentations.

Qualifications

  • Excellent teamwork and strong attention to detail.
  • A positive mindset and outgoing personality.
  • Previous kitchen experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds or 11 kilograms.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance in uniform.
  • Safety training and certification must be completed before starting the position.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is recommended.
  • At least one year of related work experience is recommended.
