Position Summary

The Reservations Agent processes reservation requests, changes, and cancellations and helps guests select available room types and rates.

The position is full time, non-management, and located at Aloft Abu Dhabi; it is not remote.

Responsibilities

  • Process reservations, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
  • Identify guest needs, determine room types, and verify availability and rates.
  • Explain guarantee, special-rate, and cancellation policies.
  • Document special requests and answer questions about hotel facilities and accommodations.
  • Use sales techniques to maximize revenue.
  • Enter reservation data and correct codes for special reservation types and rates.
  • Follow escalation procedures for guest concerns.
  • Follow company policies, privacy requirements, quality standards, and guest-service procedures.
  • Maintain professional communication and positive working relationships.
  • Handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • No related work experience is listed as required.
